It won’t be long until there are little ghosts and goblins roaming the streets! Halloween is approaching fast with the holidays hot on its tail. Can you believe it? We sure can’t. Where did the summer go?
On October 5th, we attended the Collingswood, NJ Book Festival. It was an absolute perfect Fall day. It was a chilly 46 degrees when we arrived but by mid-morning had warmed up enough to be comfortable. We were fortunate enough to have our Angel Jess, join us for the event and as always, she was a favorite! Thank you Jess, for helping us out.
A big shout out to the festival coordinators and local law enforcement. They did a great job, and it is an event we would consider doing again. Collingswood, NJ is a beautiful town. Unusual little shops lined the perimeter of Haddon Avenue, where the festival took place, and the architecture on some buildings was interesting and beautiful. Our only regret was that time did not allow for us to visit the library. Next time, for sure! If you have never attended the festival, think about going. It was great fun.
We met a lot of real nice folks and handed out some Halloween candy. The sky was blue, and the air was crisp, as the smell of fresh caramel popcorn wafted down the street. There were all kinds of tasty treats, face painting for the kids and of course, books!
There was a church situated across the way from where we were set up and they were selling baked goods. The cupcakes were divine! Our angel loved them, and she pointed people in their direction. In fact, we were told later that people coming to buy cupcakes said, “the angel sent me”. How could anyone ignore advice from an angel? Especially when it is so delicious.
Our next adventure is at the Augustus Lutheran Church, 717 W. Main Street, Trappe, PA on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. If you get a chance, come stop by and see us.
